Our Mind Is More Powerful Than We Realize
Being Hypnotized is one of the best and easiest ways of losing weight and keeping it off, or changing any undesireable habits. Your mind controls everything that you do. This is the big reason for it's effectiveness. You can change the shape you are in, by changing your perception of what is more desireable. If you percieve junk food as being more desireable than healthy food, then you will lean towards eating more junkfood than you should. Which will result in less nutrition for your body, and you will need to eat more fodd to maintain a decent energy level. Eating healthier foods more, and junkfoods less, along with exercise and enough sleep will make losing weight easier and permanent. Your diet or Lifestyle is the key, not being on a diet. A famous saying of Henry Fords was "If you think you can or can't, either way you are right"

Women Avoid Osteoporosis By Lifting Weights
Weight bearing exercise will build stronger bones and muscles. The most important thing when lifting weights is using the proper form. Lifting a lot of weight the wrong way can injure you, so learn the correct form. The most effective and time saving way of lifting weights is to lift as much weight as you can lift 6-8 times max. This will take less time and make your muscles work harder. More repetitions are good for toning up. Heavier weights will build bigger muscles. Women can not build upper body muscles big enough to look manly without testosterone or steroids. So don't worry about getting big upper body muscles. Lifting weights is a great way to prevent Osteoporosis. As we get older we lose muscle mass by about 1-2% per year, if we don't lift weights or exercise. At the same tome we gain fat. We may look like we are the same size as we were 20 years ago, but the percentage of muscle to fat will be different. So go pump some iron and you will be glad you did. You will look and feel better, and be stronger.

The Most Effective Exercises
The Fantastic Body You Want will take effort. This effort doesn't have to take you all day. The Best exercise for beginners is speed walking. The very Best Exercise is Sprinting for short distances. I strongly suggest that you check with your doctor to see how much you can handle before doing sprints. These exercises will produce excellent results. The intensity of the sprints will raise your heart rate pretty high. The length of time for the sprints are done untill you start to breath heavily. You stop at this point and rest untill your heart rate returns to normal. Doing sprints will take very little time to do. You probably will not need to do more than 3 on any day. For anyone that is not in great shape allready, you should do only one sprint per day. If you have a weak heart, do not attempt to do sprints.

A Massage Is Sensational For Tight Muscles
If you don't need a massage every week, you aren't working out hard enough. Getting in better shape will give you sore muscles. Getting a massage is a luxury that is a necessity for anyone that works out hard. A good massage will make you feel pretty good. A great massage will make you feel the second best drug-free feeling that you can have. Those who give massages have the power of controling how pleasureable it is by the amount of pressure applied. Very light massage can be used for less tightness. Whereas very tight muscles will need more pressure to loosen up and relax. Using healthy oils for massage will have a more sensuous, healthy and rejuvinating effect. I suggest using oils that are chemical-free. Olive oil is my favorite. There are other oils that are good that you can choose form as well. When picking an oil ask yourself if you would feel ok or sick if you drank some. The one you could drink is the one you should choose. The reason for this is because of your shin soaking up the oil. Just like fine leather. Only our skin is even more fine than leather, with pores. The hotter the surface of your skin, the larger your pores get. Hot skin will soak in oils quicker than cool skin. God blees those who give massages. I love every one that I receive.

Startimg an Exercise Routine
When you start doing any new exercise, start with minimal amounts. Nobody starts running a marathon on their first day. At least anyone with good sense. Depending on the shape that you are currently in, will determine how much you can do. For those that are seriously overweight, check with your doctor to find out how much you can handle doing. Then set up an exercise plan. You will need to plan on days of rest and days of different types of exercise, and different body areas to work on. Your plan should account for increasing the amount and intensity of exercise as you get stronger and in better shape. For those that are older and or excessively overweight, you would be best suited for walking, water aerobics, or low-impact exercise. The swimming pool is a great place for a start. Another great place to start at is to take a walk in the park, or trails. Make it fun and you will be more likely to stick with it.

Physical Speed=Better Fitness=Longer Life
Have you ever noticed the difference in speed between a child or young adult, and a senior citizen. As we get older, we get slower, especially if we are not physically active. The faster someone is, the more physically fit they usually are, and the longer they can expect to live. Assuming that they are eating good food and getting enough sleep and rest, and not doing other harmful things to their health. Like Drinking Alcohol or Smoking. I don't know of any Top Athletes that smoke. Some may chew, but the smoke is what lowers your lung capacity. Which is vital for endurance. Aerobic exercises aid in clearing your lungs. Other benefits are improved circulation, getting lean, and improving coordination.

Feel better with some shine
I am talking about Sunshine here, not Moonshine. Moonshine will make you feel a lot better, but you will most likely not feel so good the next day. During the winter, with very short days, a lot of people get depressed. This is mainly because of our bodies not getting very much sun, if any. Sunshine in moderate amounts will make you feel better. You definitely don't want to use a Tanning Bed. In my opinion, Tanning beds are a great way to get Skin Cancer. Many doctors make a good living because of the tanning beds. Also don't use any sunblockers. I believe, and so do many natural health doctors that suntan lotions actually cause skin cancer, rather than prevent it. If you want to spend a lot of time at the beach, you should gradually build up your tan, so that when you are outside for most of the day you won't get sunburn.

The Buffet Wil Make You Eat More Than Usual
Whenever I go to a buffet, I eat way too much food. Three plates of food, and another plate full of desert. When I am finished, I kinda feel miserable from eating like a hog. Even though the food that I chose to eat was fairly healthy, it was too much. That one meal was high enough in calories for the whole day. If you want to avoid having a big belly, then avoid eating really big meals. Not only that, the massive amount of food is going to take a lot of energy to digest. That is the biggest reason why we get sleepy after a huge meal. Thanksgiving is a prime example of overeating. The turkey has an added effect on making us sleepy, with Tryptophan in it. Eating 3 big meals a day has been the standard for many years, and it was ok for the time when we worked hard all day on the farm. Now we don't live like that, at least the majority of us. So we need to adjust our eating style to the times that we live in now. Smaller meals and snacking here and there would be appropriate today.

Climb Stairs For Strong Legs and a Firm Butt
Stair climbing is one of the best exercises for your legs and butt. Climbing hills or mountains will be in this category too. Skiing and snowboarding will do it too, but they are more likely to cause you to injure yourself. Stairclimbing is a good way to measure your physical fitness. If you have difficulty climbing just a few steps, then you are in pretty poor shape. On the other hand, if you can climb over 50 flights of stairs at one time, then you are in great shape. You don't need to climb 50 flights of stairs to feel like you have had a workout. Climb as many as you can, untill you can't clinb any more, and then stop and rest. That is enough for the day. You should wait a couple of days before you do this again, so that your muscles will have time to repair. Many people think that working out more is better, but it actually can do more harm than good. Carpal tunnel, or repetitive use injury is what I am refering to. When we use certain muscles over and over again many times, we can eventually have these problems. That is why I say it can do more harm than good. Work out, but don't over do it.

Are you a Soft drink mom or a Soda pop?
Whatever you call your carbonated drink really doesn't matter. What really matters is how much of it you drink, and if it is regular or diet. Diet sodas are the worst of the two for your health. The sweetener Aspartaime should have never been approved by the FDA. It causes a lot of health problems. Headaches, possibly Diabetes, and believe it or not, just the opposite of what you are trying to do by drinking it...gaining weight. When I see someone eating a fattening kind of meal with a diet drink, I just shake my head and wonder what exactly is up with that. I know that it's obviously an attempt at trying to balance calories. But it seems so wrong. Kind of like trying to cheat at something. The thing is, you aren;t cheating anybody but yourself. Regular sodas aren't much better than diet. The High Fructose Corn Syrup{HFCS} that is used to make it sweet is pretty bad for our health too. You probably have seen commercials on tv that support HFCS, and say that it isn't bad for you in moderation. HFCS is metabolized in your body just like Alcohol. They both are processed by the Liver. That should give you a clue about how healthy it is for you. To end this post on the bright side, there is good news. You could easily lose up to 5 pounds a month by not drinking sodas.

That "Gut Feeling" may be bad bacteria
You may have too much bad bacteria, and not enough good bacteria in your digestive tract. If you have ever taken antibiotics in your life, then you probably do. You may have been lucky enough to know about eating yogurt when you took the antibiotics and avoided this bad bacteria overpopulation. When we take antibiotics, all of the bacteria in our digestive tract is killed. Then the bad bacteria comes back in droves, and the good bacteria is the minority. These bad bacteria thrive on sugar, and will make you crave sugar. The more sugar that you consume, the more bad bacteria populate. Eating yogurt will restore the good bacteria. Also consuming more foods that have fiber will get rid of some of those bad bacteria.

Visualize the future you...in great shape
You need to have a picture in your mind of how you want to look. What size would you like to be? Just having a goal of losing weight is not enough. You need to have a final destination, or size you would like to be. Otherwise, you will be like going on a vacation, and getting in your car and driving around all over the place, but not ending up at any special destination. Your mind needs a destination to move towards. That destination is the shape that you want to be. You also have to be uncomfortable with the size you are now, and tell yourself that you will be comfortable with the size that you want to be. Start visualizing yourself doing things that you would love to do, and see yourself doing these things in the shape you want to be in, having fun, and doing these things almost effortlessly. To make weightloss easier, you must believe that it is easy, and it will be.

Are you getting enough? Sleep
The right amount of sleep per night will be slightl different for everyone. Infants need 12 hours, children need 10 hours, teens 9 hours, and adults 8 hours each night. When you sleep less than you need, you will tend to eat more, which will cause weight gain. You will also have less energy, and alertness. Many accidents are caused by people that fall asleep at the wheel. Our bodies need enough sleep time to repair and recharge. We can't survive without sleep. There have been studies done, that concluded that people who got less than 4 or 5 hours of sllep per night for long periods of time, were at high risk of getting Diabetes. Too much sleep is not good either. You will have less energy when you sleep too much. Not getting enough sleep is the worst of the two situations. Most of us don't get enough sleep because of all of the things we have to do. New parents know all about this. For those of you unfortunate ones that have to work 2 or 3 jobs, I will pray for you to have someone to come into your life to help you. No one should have to work that much, and enjoy life so little.

Sugar is Bad for your Teeth and your Butt
If you want rotten teeth and a big butt, then eat stuff with lots of sugar. There are a bunch of different kinds of sugar, or sweeteners. Most of them are either bad for you, or really bad for you. Any of the Man-made sugar alternatives are really bad for your health. The Pink and Blue packs are some of the worst. The more man tries to improve upon what God has made, the more hazzardous it is to our health. How can anyone improve perfection? High Fructose Corn Syrup is in a lot of foods, especially soft drinks, except for diet sodas, which most of them have Aspertame. In my opinion, these Diet drinks with Aspertame are ruining peoples health. And possibly causing Diabetes. How many people do you know that drink diet drinks and are losing weight because of drinking them? Probably not very many, if any. If you are serious about losing weight, then you need to find something better to drink. Sodas are probably The Biggest cause of so many people being overweight.

Your Comfort Zone is keeping you Fat
The main element of the Comfort Zone is the Temperature that you are comfortable in. Most of the people that are slim feel comfortable in warmer temperatures, generally in the range of around 69-79 degrees. Those that are overweight feel comfortable at around 50-68 degrees. This is a very tough issue to work with, because it feels good. Anything that feels good we want, and we want as much of it as we can get. It feels good to sit around and relax. It feels good eating chips, cookies, cake, ice cream. A lot of things that make us feel good are very addictive. Maybe not on a physical level like alcohol, tobacco, and certain drugs. But they are mentally addictive. We know where to go, to get that good feeling. Moderation will work well in these situations. You can eat whatever you want, just don't eat massive amounts of junk, and not much healthy food. The same goes for your activity level. Don't sit around all the time. Get up and do something.

Pump up your metabolism
When you increase you metabolic rate, you will burn more calories and fat. The basic way of doing this, is to eat more food. This may sound crazy, but you can lose weight by eating more. You need to eat good food, not junk, in order for it to work. Eating more will boost your metabolism, and give your body the nutrition and energy needed for doing more of the things that you want to do. Have you tried to lose weight by eating less, and didn't lose any weight, or even gained weight? That is because your metabolism slowed down when you ate less. Eating less will tell your body to store more fat. So that when food is scarce in the future, you will be prepared for survival. Not that food will be scarce, but when you eat less, that is what your body is thinking.

No More Cardio and Aerobics
New Harvard studies have concluded that cardio and aerobics are not the best way to lose weight. In fact, they say that aerobic exercise is actually harmful, and doesn't get rid of fat. It trains the body to produce more fat for the next time of aerobic actovity. They say that aerobics and cardio don't prevent heart disease. These types of exercises will not make you slim, stronger, or give you more energy. So what are we supposed to do to lose weight? Find out in the next posting.
